Soju (Korea)

Soju is a traditional Korean spirit that has become one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in the world. Typically distilled from rice, wheat, or barley—and more recently from tapioca or sweet potatoes—soju is known for its smooth, clean taste and moderate alcohol content, usually around 12–25%. Its versatility makes it ideal for sipping neat, mixing into cocktails, or pairing with a wide range of foods. While classic soju is neutral in flavor, flavored varieties featuring fruit infusions like peach, apple, and grapefruit are gaining popularity among modern drinkers.
